ONE OF MY FAVORITE BABY PRODUCTS: A BABY LOUNGER BED

Leave it to the power of social media to discover new and innovative products. With my first child I had no idea that there were commodities on the market such as co-sleepers or loungers. With my son, a friend gifted me a sleeper nest but I found it a bit rigid and intrusive for our, at the time, queen sized bed. Fast forward five years to my now third child, and Instagram is inundated with sleep loungers! They have different names such as dockers, loungers, lounge beds, co-sleepers but all have the same purpose.

Infant lounge beds essentially offer a safer, comfy place to lay your baby. They are multitasking and multi-functional, not to mention they're the ultimate Instagram worthy photo prop. Think of them as a snug nest that keeps baby secure.

I currently have both a docker—which I was given as a baby shower gift, as well as The Baby Comfort lounger. I keep the docker in my bed(we upgraded to a King mattress a couple of years back). The longer I keep in the living room. You certainly do not need two different types but they each serve their purpose and are awesome for distinct reasons.

So which infant lounge sleeper is best for you? I like  The Baby Comfort because of the organic components and the fun colorful prints. The bottom doesn't have batting or cushion which I kinda wish it did because then I can set it down on harder surfaces such as the the floor. As long as you rest it atop a soft surface baby should be fine. It is also a bit heavy in weight compared to other loungers but the firmness of the lounge bed allows infants to enjoy tummy time. The infant's head will be slightly elevated allowing for the air ways to be clear while baby's lower body rests inside the oval of the bed.
